Your alertness, productivity and mood are all greatly influenced and effected by the quality of your sleep. Studies now show that your brains ability to effectively clean the waist products (amyloid proteins) occurs while we sleep. Your brain also utilizes the sleeping experience to "download" or remember the learned information from the day before. What once was thought of as just a factor of health may be one of the most important factors to living a healthy life.

The Proper Smart pillow incorporates a sensor network of force(pressure) audio and thermal to help you better understand your sleeping behavior. The pressure sensor network is designed to capture the movement patters throughout the night. A total of eight pressure receptors are passively receiving the data points every 5 seconds of where your head and neck are positioned throughout the sleep experience. For example, if you identify that sleeping on the left side versus the right demonstrates more complete sleep cycles and less disruptive movement you can then help better understand your behavior. We've added audio in the form of collecting a range of decibels to identify breathing patterns. Every half second the built in microphone receives a range of bits of decibel noise. Being able to identify Snoring, background noise distractions, or interrupted breathing or proper breathing.

Maybe you have an problem with your hip or shoulder that is troublesome throughout the night and it's affecting your sleep and causing you to toss and turn. Or maybe you have a deviated nasal septum that is causing you to breathe better on one side versus the other. Maybe you learn that the most restful sleep is on your back.
Identifying the factors that may be interfering with your sleep cycles may serve as beneficial information so that you can modify your sleep behavior. Or maybe you identify a breathing interruption while sleeping on your back. What if your room temperature changes and you could learn how that interferes with your sleep cycles? All collected, stored and ready to understand in an easy format of graphs and percentages.

The proper smart pillow was designed to provide you a clearer understanding of your behavior and your sleep environment so that you can learn from and modify your behavior.

We've added a Snoring alert system that allows you to enable the Pillow to alert you with customized settings of threshold trigger, time and amplitude of vibration to modify your behavior.

Additionally, a smart alarm system enables the Pillow to alert you awake instead of an alarm clock.
