Master 6 Techniques
ProsoEase offers six distinct techniques for walking meditation, ranging from a simple 1-phase practice to a detailed 6-phase approach. Each phase breaks down walking into increasingly refined movements, promoting greater mindfulness:
• 1 Phase: Focus simply on alternating the right and left foot while walking mindfully.
• 2 Phases: Break the step into two parts: lifting the foot and stepping forward.
• 3 Phases: Add a third step: lifting, pushing the foot forward, and stepping down.
• 4 Phases: Introduce more nuance by breaking the step into raising the heel, lifting the foot, pushing forward, and stepping down.
• 5 Phases: Further refine the motion: raising, lifting, pushing, lowering, and treading (placing).
• 6 Phases: The most detailed technique, adding the touching ground phase before pressing the whole foot onto the ground.
