Proximity Pay

Pay securely and completely hands-free with Ingenico's Proximity Pay solution.

A solution for your purchase at your regular store, restaurant, hairdresser or similar proximity store.

You can now pay without using your wallet, card or even cash. With Proximity Pay the store's system detects your phone upon arrival and the merchant is able to charge you directly from the ECR (Electronic Cash Register).

Once you decide to pay, you're charged for the products and you can leave the store.

DETECTION SYSTEM
The detection system, based on the BLE (Bluetooth Low Energy) beacon technology, monitors the presence of beacons installed in Proximity Pay-enabled stores, even if the Proximity Pay app is not running. The store is provided with one or multiple BLE beacons that are recognized by the Proximity Pay application on your phone upon your arrival to the store, but Proximity Pay does not collect, store, track or share your position.

RECEIPT NOTIFICATION
Once the payment has been processed on the ECR, the receipt of the purchase is sent to the application and accessible by you at all times.

SECURE ACCOUNT CREATION
In order for the system to function properly you have to create an account with your personal and bank card information. This information is secured by the certified Ingenico ePayments solution. No email address required!
