App Store Description

Welcome to Quiet Voices - An Aid for Selective Mutism.
Understanding and managing selective mutism (SM) is a challenging journey, both for those
who experience it and for their supporters. Quiet Voices is your companion on this journey,
and we are here to help you understand, support, and master it. We can work our way out of
silence; it takes time and consistent effort over time, but it gets better!

This app is designed to have someone guide young individuals through it and can customize
tasks individually since we are at different stages on the journey out of silence. Large goals
are broken down into smaller milestones, making progress evident along the way. Remember
to remove speech pressure and work on confidence; we don't start with tasks that require
speech unless you're ready for it. Therefore, please see our task suggestions on the app's
accompanying website.

We have a feature where you can play with your voice and practice typical pressure words
such as "thank you" and "hello."
If you're feeling very stressed along the way, we have a butterfly to help you find peace with
breathing exercises.

We wish you the best of luck on your journey with Quiet Voices. Remember that you are not
alone, and we are here to assist you. Take your time to explore the app and make use of our
resources and support.

The Quiet Voices project is a collaboration with the Council for Mental Health and is
supported by the Dam Foundation in Norway.

Good luck!
