Ravedio

Ravedio is an offline communications service to help you stay connected to your rave friends at U.S. music festivals. It utilizes small handheld radios to bypass congested cell towers and send low bandwidth text messages and help you find friends in dense crowds.

Features:
- Add channels to create private group chats amongst your friends or join public ones to meet new people with similar music tastes as you
- Use the 915mhz unlicensed radio frequency within the U.S. to send texts within a 0.25-2 mile range depending on environmental factors. Each device relays all messages within your frequency to help forward your data when you don't have clear line of sight
- Automatic timestamps on all your texts. So you never have to wonder when a message was transmitted to you
- Keep messages locally on your device
- Go on side quests: update a status that gets broadcasted every 20 minutes or so to keep your friends in the loop of where you are. Communicate what stage you are at, include general crowd position, describe what you're wearing at the moment, and more
