The ability to rise from the ashes of defeat and start afresh in the joy and strength of the Lord is what makes the difference between a success and a failure. This was what Thomas Edison, the inventor of electricity, experienced when he lost his laboratory- the power house of his dream, in a fire inferno. As he watched his future burn up into irretrievable debris, he made up his mind to embark on a new beginning at the age of 67; he was not afraid to start again.

Our God specializes in doing a “new thing”. It does not matter what your experiences and challenges have been, with God, all these belonged to your past and they are behind you. God’s promise is that, with Him in your life, your future is bound to be glorious.

Whilst the devil will want you to dwell on the past and conclude that your future is bleak or doomed, God, on the other hand, wants you to concentrate and focus on your future which can be glorious when you are in partnership with Him. Therefore, you cannot afford to take another step without an encounter with “Our God of a New Thing”. The change that you need for the new level, status and experience can only come from Jesus.
