GQM’s Reλiapp is a mobile application which is used to calculate the reliability and failure rate of equipment’s at different product life stages. From the moment the product idea is born, throughout the purchase and production chain until delivery and end of product life.
The GQM’s Reλiapp helps to determine estimated values for the most commonly used reliability indicators. In doing so the user obtains a valuable orientation to ensure a sustainable quality of the products. The Reλiapp calculations can be stored and continuously update into the know how database of the user. This data represents a source of lessons learned information that can be used to continuously improve the product performance, reducing infant mortality failures, increasing the product life and reducing the risk of critical defects, hazards and product recalls. It helps also to systematically calculate the most economical and effective stock level of material needed avoiding unnecessary surplus of spare parts in the maintenance area.

How it works (A short description):

When a user logs in he can see the basic calculation option on the screen in which we need to give different set of inputs such as name, test hours/day etc. and tap submit. We will get the result based on that. The basic calculation is based on the burn in test evaluation. Burn-in test is conducted to ensure that a device or system functions properly before it leaves the manufacturing plant or maintenance routine. Reλiapp calculate total cost of failure at mission time on the basis of 3 sets of input on total number of device tested and total number of device failed. Based on this we generate output parameters such as MTTF, MTBF, Availability (%) and also generate failure rates during regular product life (τ).
