Reader Bee Sophie Story 3

Sophie Grows Up is the third of 4 stories in the Sophie Story Series for young children (pre-K, Kindergarten, Grade 1). After each story page is read aloud, children tap “blue words” to trigger surprising animations that illustrate a word meaning or awaken Wizding letter people to “dance out” the sounds of a word. Using blue words, children are introduced to cvc words like “did” one sound at a time, simple sight words, like “was” and “who," plus “onset and rime,” in words such as, “d-eep, deep."

In Sophie 3, Sophie is growing up, and no longer fits inside the hen house. Where can she go so she’s not alone? Maybe she can find friends in the Story Tree. In the next Sophie Story, Sophie grows up and finds a special place to live where she can bring all her friends. This comforting story is suitable for very young children, who can gain early reading insight while they delight in a fanciful story about Sophie who grew, and grew and grew.
