These reading comprehension passages were originally offered on Teachers Pay Teachers. To view feedback from teachers using the paper/pencil version, search: "Anne Gardner" on Teachers Pay Teachers.

What teachers are saying:

"Fantastic product that helps transition Level F readers from learning to read TO reading to learn." Beth Ann

"Leveled reading passages help to bridge leveled books to passages in the style of benchmark testing! Great teaching tool!" Nina

"High interest reading passages for kids. Love them!" Laurie

This app is ideal for use in either a classroom or home setting. It is recommended that a parent or teacher work through the first couple passages with students. Once students are familiar with the format of the multiple choice questions, this app can be used independently. Each section of text can be touched individually to hear its pronunciation.

These materials were developed by Anne and Keith Gardner, a mother-son team. Keith is a Computer Science student and Anne is an experienced reading teacher. Together they are having a blast working to create apps designed to help kids develop early literacy skills.
