Red Shift is a political canvassing app for Republican campaigns. This app is part of the larger Red Shift voter targeting and relationship management tool. It is for use by candidates, campaign volunteers, and campaign employees who will be conducting door-to-door canvassing efforts.

The app allows canvassers to do two important tasks:

1) Conduct surveys that have been pre-defined by campaign leadership. As canvassers conducts voter surveys, they are able to easily log the responses, which can be either be from a set of multiple choice answers or an open-ended response where the canvasser can enter textual data.

2) Logging the perceived receptiveness to your political campaign/message during your door-to-door campaign efforts.

As responses to surveys or general canvassing efforts are logged, your campaign builds a database of voters who you believe support your campaign. The compiled data allows a campaign to keep track of who they should remind to go vote, who they should target with additional efforts, and who they should ignore.

This system has been used successfully in local campaigns in Alabama, where this software was developed.

It should be noted that this software is intended only for Republican candidates. Your campaign must sign up for the Red Shift service to get any functionality out of this app.
