RESQUNIT ETR

RESQUNIT ETR is the application you need to activate and configure the ETR (Electronic Timer Release) that can be used on the RESQUNIT trap recovery system/spare buoy. With this app you can both read and set your preferred timer configuration.



Programming is done easily by selecting values in the mobile app and then uploading the values to the ETR by touching it with the mobile phone. The data is then transferred using near field communication (NFC).



As an example, if you normally fish crab pots or lobster traps every 2 days, it would be preferable to set the ETR release time to 5 days in case weather prevents you from pulling the traps on a normal schedule.

The device is self-aware and will only release the yellow reserve buoy if the system has been submerged for 5 days. When pulling the traps in normal operation, the counter resets when it reaches the surface.



NOTE: After 50 releases (battery life), the buoy will not reattach. Please then contact customer support.
