Restrict-Ori calculates restriction orifice sizes and maximum flowrates according to R. W. Miller's "Flow Measurement Engineering Handbook".
Restriction orifices are calculated based on critical flow in the orifice. For gas this means that sonic velocity exists at the orifice throat, and further decrease in the downstream pressure will not increase the mass flow rate.
