There is nothing to be seen above ground now but the site was extensively excavated in the 1920s. Use our app to see what still remains under the soil and see some of the wonderful finds that were discovered by scratching the surface to see what lies beneath.
The app gives a full virtual fly over of what the fort was like at Caerhun. The app also gives you the opportunity of becoming a virtual archaeologist by doing some excavating yourself. The app contains images from the 1920s dig so that you can see all that remains of the fort.
As well as the walls of the fort you can excavate further to see some of the wonderful finds that were recovered. These are now housed at Llandudno Museum but our app shows you were exactly the items were found.
The fort now lies on private land so you need permission to visit however the app gives you free access to explore without fear of trespassing.
A truly exciting way to explore an invisible Roman site without having to break into a sweat!
