Kids get to use their creativity to build some of their favorite things: rockets, construction vehicles, and cakes! AJ Whimtech's apps are designed to prevent overstimulation by providing a simple interface and slow moving graphics.

RocketCake uses icons and simple buttons to help pre-reading children create with ease. Simple shapes help children see how the different pieces fit together as they build.

We developed AJ Whimtech and our apps straight out of the imagination of our toddler. When I proposed making an app with our toddler, they quickly prompted with wanting to make rockets, construction vehicles, and cakes! What could be more fun than that. We played and developed together until we were happy with how it works.

This app returns to simpler times in a modern world. With no audio, no in-app purchases, and no ads. Kids can play without distractions or the overstimulation of popups.

This app is compatable with the iPhone Guided Access feature which allows a parent or guardian to lock the phone from leaving the app without a password. In this way, children can use your phone or their iPad securely without exiting the app.

To Enable Guided Access:

Go to Settings > Accessibility > Guided Access
Toggle Guided Access on
Set a Passcode (or enable Face ID/Touch ID)

To Start Guided Access:

Open the app you want to restrict
Triple-click the Side button (or Home button on older iPhones)
Select Guided Access
Circle areas on screen to disable (optional)
Tap Start in the top right

To End Guided Access:

Triple-click the Side button (or Home button)
Enter your passcode or use Face ID/Touch ID
Tap End
