The Roping Calendar app advertises equine events and related businesses within the state of Arizona. In its first season online, the Roping Calendar has earned over 250,000 visits.

Roping Calendar promotes daily equine event information within the state of Arizona and surrounding regions. Categorical data entry of event flyers ensures accurate and time-sensitive information is accessible to participants. Events are made searchable by Arena, Event Type, and Roping Number.

While the sport of Team Roping has seen exponential growth, the existing marketing structure has been an obstacle. Until recently, Arizona equine event information has been limited by either “time-stamped” printed sources, or geographically exclusive city websites (which are commonly ill-maintained by local municipalities). Participants, particularly out-of-state participants, cannot plan due to limited event information. Additionally, event producers are forced to prioritize which events to advertise due to high costs. Large producers are faced with high advertising costs, and smaller venues and events suffer limited event exposure.

Low-cost advertising for event producers has created a robust listing base and has increased awareness for many disciplines and locations, including Team Roping, Breakaway, Barrels, Ranch Rodeos, Training Clinics, Horse Sales, and more. Increased site traffic from event listings has created an opportunity for paid advertisers to pursue grander visibility for their brand or business.

Participant and Producer feedback has helped to shape the Roping Calendar App, which aims to provide a simple and friendly experience for users, event producers, and advertisers.
