HARVEST collects quality surplus food in refrigerated vehicles from a variety of sources and delivers it direct, without delay, and free of charge, to a wide variety of organisations that feed food-vulnerable people on a daily basis. The collection and distribution of this food must comply with strict food safety practices.

The S.A. HARVEST Academy app provides drivers, suppliers and beneficiaries with access to food safety education resources. Resources offered on this app focus on building food safety knowledge and outline food safety processes and procedures. Topics include food storage, food preparation and how to serve food in a safe manner.
