Buy your public transport ticket in the app and receive information about possible disruptions, construction work and delays on the subscribed route ahead of your journey.
The S-Bahn Berlin Connect-App offers you all this:
► Route information – Travel conveniently from A to B
With the help of detailed public transport timetables and route descriptions, you can easily find the most attractive connections in Berlin and Brandenburg. The detailed view provides relevant information on routes, changes and departure times in real-time. By entering via stations, you can also easily define intermediate stops on your journey.
► Ticketing – Always book the right fare
The S-Bahn Berlin Connect-App offers the appropriate electronic tickets for the VBB region for every route in local transport. Always buy the right VBB ticket for your fare zone directly in the app. No matter whether you use S-Bahn, U-Bahn, tram, bus, ferry or regional train: When you are asked to present your ticket, show the electronic public transport ticket in the app. You pay comfortably and contactless with PayPal or SEPA payments.
► Multimodality – Public transport connected with sharing providers
The app connects the entire Berlin public transport network with the offerings of sharing providers. In a central route overview, the app shows the best route with local public transport in the VBB region. It enriches the offering with alternatives from local sharing providers if they bring benefit to the users.
Integrated mobility services:
• All local public transport services in Berlin and Brandenburg (VBB tariff zones A, B and C)
• Car sharing (cars from SHARE NOW, SIXT share and MILES)
• Scooter sharing (electric scooter from emmy)
• Bike-sharing (bicycles from Call-a-Bike)
• E-Scooter-Sharing (e-scooters from Voi)
The offers of mobility sharing providers can be booked with a simple click via the app of the sharing provider.
► Route subscription – Information in the event of disruptions, construction work and delays
Routes that are used regularly with public transport services can be subscribed. The S-Bahn Berlin Connect-App provides information about possible disruptions, construction work and delays on the preferred route on short-term before the start of the journey. In this case, the app offers alternative routes.
► Personalization – route suggestions based on your preferences
In the settings, you can select your preferred means of transport and choose between public transport (S-Bahn, U-Bahn, Tram, Bus, Ferry or Regional Train), car sharing, bike sharing, scooter sharing or e-scooter sharing.

Important note: This app will be gradually scaled down by Dec 30th 2021.
► End of the research & development project
Through the development of the Berlin Connect App, we were able to gain many insights. We will continue to analyze these and incorporate them into other projects. The pilot project will thus end as planned at the end of the year and the app will be discontinued on December 30, 2021.
We will gradually scale the app down by December 30th 2021 in three steps:
1. As a first step the purchase of 4-trip tickets won’t be possible anymore as of October 7th.
2. As of November 1st, tickets can’t be purchased in advance anymore. All purchased tickets will then be valid immediately.
3. In the last step, ticket purchases won’t be possible anymore as of December 1st.
You will still be able to use all features apart from ticketing (e.g. route search and push notifications) as usual until December 30th.
Please make sure to use all tickets that you might have saved in your account and that you haven’t validated yet until November 30th 2021.
