Why use SafeBySafe if there are so many other chat apps?

• PRIVACY FIRST. SafeBySafe does not need your phone number or e-mail to start chatting. You create your own username like in old good XMPP or IRC chats. You also add your buddies by their usernames or user ID's - no sniffing and matching against your device address book.

• SECURE. All messages are peer to peer encrypted - this is the only communication model in SafeBySafe.

• SIMPLE. SafeBySafe introduces a very simple UI, focused on the main thing only - exchanging the messages or chatting. No UI and non primary features mess.

• ALWAYS CONNECTED. SafeBySafe uses cloud messaging so any replies are delivered to their receivers instantly and safely and with a minimum of network traffic.

• MOBILE DATA FRIENDLY. SafeBySafe does not consume a lot of traffic. Messaging protocol is compact and does contain only required data (and your message payload, of course :)

• OFFLINE SUPPORT. You will not miss any message when you are offline. All pending messages will be delivered seconds after your device gains the connection. And of course you can write your replies while offline too - they will be sent once the network is back.

• DOES NOT DEPEND ON TELEPHONY. Use it on sim-less phone or iPad as well - only the Internet connection is needed.

• MADE BY PEOPLE FOR PEOPLE: We did made this app NOT to gain the million audience like other popular messengers. We did it just to provide ourselves and other people who shares the same principles with the clean, small and secure tool to communicate.


This is the first public release and it supports the following features for the chat:

• Text messages and emoticons
• Sending photos
• Sharing location

Soon, we'll add more functions, such as voice and video calls as well as group chats. We're working on them already, stay tuned!
