Cases is an Instagram-style learning area where patient vignettes and anonymised graphics are added on a regular basis. Each case includes a picture of a relevant set of data such as an ultrasound report or a CTG trace, as well as a short case history, with questions for the user to consider.

Checklists

This feature involves key lists of what to do in emergencies. Each item can be clicked on to indicate that step has been performed. Time-stamps are added where relevant. The initial version includes checklists of the most common obstetric emergencies, as well as certain medical emergencies.

This aspect of the app includes summaries of guidelines and safety tips that are handy for midwives and doctors to have in different scenarios, including calculations useful to have at the bedside. Users can suggest new items that can be added to respond to the changing needs of the service.
