Safe TaG is a personal emergency app that has numerous applications. It is a simple, yet effective safety app designed to help all individuals, enjoy safer lives, anywhere in the world.

-How does it work?-
After creating your list of emergency contacts, trigger message and other settings, simply Tap and Go. The app won’t GPS track your whole journey like other apps, thereby protecting your privacy.

However if you fail to check-in, within the time estimated by you at the start of your timed event, or if you press the SOS, the app will send your trigger message to your selected contacts.

You can run up to three different timers with tag messages concurrently. For example, the first timer could notify a friend, the second can notify a family member and the third notify parents. Or all contacts can be notified to mobilise a more serious response.

When your contacts receive the alert, they will hear an alarm, see your trigger message, be able to see your GPS location, contact details and your remaining battery life.

The app also provides quick access to emergency services, or Australian consulate details when overseas. In addition, there is a library of first aid information, which will be particularly useful for bushwalkers.

-What are some examples?-
The Safe TaG App is ideal for friends wanting to know if you got home OK after putting you in a taxi or Uber. Or you could be going to someone’s house to pick up something you bought off Gumtree or eBay and you want a friend on standby, if needed.

It will also be ideal for Tinder and online dating. Particularly because when you set the timer, you don’t need to say you’re going on a date. If you tag in within the timeframe, or extend the time, your emergency contacts will never know that you went anywhere, unless you choose. With Safe TaG, your privacy is protected, allowing you to get out and enjoy life.

Employers will also be better able to ensure their workplace and employees are safe. One current user from a University Biology Department, does field work and is often required to be out in the bush collecting samples by herself. So the app gives her reassurance that her managers will be notified if she is ever in trouble.
