Note: The app is, for now, only available to users inside the ALA organization. People who don't have an ALA sub-domain email won't be able to join.

Salik helps people in closed communities (e.g. schools, churches, universities) to express their feelings and show appreciation to one another. Simply, you go to the app and find other people in your organization who you're interested to be with; you salik them. Now, since they also might be interested to be with you, they will respond back and then the app will connect you together.

Imagine having the chance to connect with someone who you have been craving to learn more about but because you’re afraid of rejection you have had to bury those feelings deep in the soils of your heart! It benefits both parties’ well-being to know they share a mutual interest. Salik will help you communicate those feelings effectively.

Also, let’s say you're looking for that best friend with whom you together will achieve excellence through supporting each other and keeping each other accountable. Salik is also here to help.

In addition, Salik allows users to show appreciation to one another by sending/receiving virtual flowers to/from each other.

We’re here to connect you and keep you engaged with that particular person in your community who also wants to be particularly with you in more than one potential context.
