App Store Description

In partnership with the Texas State Historical Association (TSHA), JoSara MeDia presents this multimedia app on The Battle of San Jacinto, called “one of the decisive battles of the world.” With links for in-depth research to TSHA’s highly acclaimed Handbook of Texas Online, the battle is recreated in words, pictures, interactive panoramas and maps.

This app includes:
-The Battle of San Jacinto by James W. Pohl, originally published in 1989, provided here in an enhanced edition with links, color photos and more;

-Panoramic views from points on the present day location of the battlefield, which can be rotated and zoomed, allowing the reader to see where they are in relation to history and to get a feel for what Sam Houston, Santa Anna and the rest of the combatants saw;

-The article Mapping San Jacinto by Jeffrey D. Dunn from the Southwestern Historical Quarterly, which uses historical maps “as tools in helping to delineate the boundaries of the battleground and identify significant landscape features deemed important in influencing the outcome of the battle.”

Experience The Battle of San Jacinto like never before from your iPad, iPhone or iPod!
