Use SARA Navigation to guide you during your cruises and offshore races!
Just like SARA for regatta that some of you already know, SARA Navigation uses the GPS of the iphone.

SARA gives you all useful information automatically and vocally. Of course, SARA Navigation is fully accessible for blind people. It means that using the screen reader VoiceOver, the blind sailor can read all information displayed on the screen.

It will be very easy for you to create route points, marks and routes. The visually impaired sailor can’t look at his route on a map, but using SARA navigation he will be able to consult his route in a textual format. It is one of the main features of SARA Navigation.
When cruising, you just have to activate the itinerary that you previously created specially for your navigation, and to define your announcements profile. In this profile, you select all information you want to listen to during sailing.
If you have an electronic navigation system on board, another very interesting feature for you is the connexion with it, on condition that you can connect your electronic system on WIFI. So the blind sailor is able to check any information he needs to manage sailing, reading it with VoiceOver or listening to the automatic announcements.
Last point of this short description of SARA Navigation, the vocal electronic telltales really are an innovation. It is an experimentation.
