Easy handy program for the iphone or Ipad for aligning satellite dishes to the geostationary satellite in the sky.
It can calculate positions for over 400 satellites (updated in 2015).
By selecting the prefered (or a closest) satellite name,
the azimuth, elevation and tilt is calculated based on the location of the user which is determined by your device positioning system.
The aiming direction of the satellite is guided through the magnetometer-compass and an elevation-meter of your Iphone or Ipad. For more accuracy a sound indicator is added for azimuth and elevation, so its not needed to watch the device all the time.
By following the direction your device is pointing you will have a good estimation of the satellite position in the sky. So aiming of the dish will be much more easy.
(Your device must have an activated positioning system, motion sensor and compass. All present in the Iphone or Ipad).
I developed the program for aiming and aligning my satellite dish. Especially handy on holidays.
