「SatMViewer」は、地図上にKML/KMZファイル形式の地球観測衛星画像を簡単に表示できるアプリです。
同じ場所の時期が違う2枚の衛星画像を重ねて表示した上で、上側の画像の透明度を変化させることができるため、時期による土地の状況の変化を簡単に把握することができます。
KML/KMZファイル形式であれば、専門知識がなくとも衛星画像を表示することができます。
本アプリは国立大学法人京都大学、一般財団法人宇宙システム開発利用推進機構、一般社団法人日本リモートセンシング学会による共同研究「衛星画像利用促進に関する研究」の一環として開発されたものです。
