What is it about?

Scilingo is an app prototype, being used for a research project at CQUniversity. It is designed to support CQUniversity nursing students’ learning of bioscience vocabulary for pathophysiology and pharmacology. The questions include easy, medium, and hard categories, on topics covering introductory pathophysiology and pharmacology, cardiovascular pathophysiology, and endocrine pathophysiology. How is this different to other apps? Many of the questions in Scilingo require you to recognise bioscience language through listening, using audio embedded either in the question or response options. It’s also ideal for you to read the questions aloud and speak the bioscience words aloud, to train your brain’s pathways involved in speaking the clinical language. We hope this will build up your confidence in ‘talking the talk’ during clinical placements. We wish you all the best in building your bioscience lingo through Scilingo!
