App Store Description

ScolioBuddy helps you measure the degree of curvature of your spine due to scoliosis. There are two types of scoliosis.

1). Thoracic Scoliosis refers to a curve in between the shoulder blades.
2). Lumbar Scoliosis refers to a curve in the lowest part of your spine.

Steps to Measuring the patient’s Scoliosis using the Scoliometer
1). Have the patient bend down and round their back as far as they can go
2). Gently lay the phone down flat on the patient’s upper back near their neck at a 90-degree angle
3). Make sure the phone isn’t at an inclined angle and that the patient’s spine is in the middle of the phone
4). Slowly drag the phone down from the top of the patient’s back to the maximum deformity of the patient’s upper back. This is the Thoracic curve of the patient’s back. Record this by pressing + and choosing Thoracic.
5). Slowly drag the phone down from the middle of the patient’s back to the maximum deformity of the patient’s lower back. This is the lumbar curve of the patient’s back. Record this by pressing + and choosing Lumbar.
