App Store Description

Scratch Count is the easiest way to quickly calculate your instant lottery ticket inventory!

Scratch Count is a lottery ticket calculator that allows gas station and convenience store employees the simplest way to count their lottery tickets before and after a shift. If you sell lottery tickets, you must reconcile your lottery ticket inventory against the register sales. This must be done at the beginning and the end of each shift to detect and prevent inventory shrink due to theft.

Currently, most lottery retailers count their inventory once per day by hand in a tedious and time-consuming fashion - using a pen, paper, and a traditional calculator. Plus, at any given shift each employee has approximately 20 open and active books of games in varying denominations. The value of this active instant lottery ticket inventory can range between $5,000-$10,000.

Avoid mistakes and increase your employee's accuracy and efficiency with Scratch Count. The Scratch Count app will provide an easy-to-use lottery ticket counting tool that can be used by each incoming and outgoing shift cashier.

How does it work?

1) Enter a ticket quantity followed by the game denomination for all of your games.
2) Hit submit or “recount” your shift. You will see your recounted shift on your shift total screen, but it will not be factored into your final start and end shift counts.
3) Need to add books? Click "Edit Shift" in the menu to add or delete entries. Swipe an entry to delete it.
4) Finish by submitting your end shift to display shift sales, which are the difference between your start and end shift counts.
