SDVertiLenCalc
SDVertiLenCalc is iOS application of calculator , in which there are three types of calculator , from that one calculation is explaining below:
The Minimum Length of Crest Vertical Curves (Sight Distance greater than Length of Vertical Curves) calculator iOS application is designed to help civil engineers, road designers, and other professionals calculate the minimum length of crest vertical curves for roadways when the sight distance is greater than the length of the vertical curve. The application provides a simple and efficient way to determine this length based on the following inputs:
Inputs:
1. Algebraic Difference in Grades of the Tangents to the Vertical Curve (A) (feet/feet): This is the difference in grades (slopes) between the two tangent sections of the road. It is an essential factor in determining the curvature of the road and how steep or gentle it will be.
2. Sight Distance (S) (feet): This refers to the distance that a driver can clearly see ahead, which must be greater than the length of the vertical curve to ensure proper visibility and safety on the road.
3. Eye Height Above the Pavement (H1) (feet): This is the height of the driver's eyes from the road surface, typically about 3.5 feet in most design situations.
4. Object Height Above the Pavement (H2) (feet): The height of the object (e.g., another vehicle or an obstruction) that the driver must be able to see over the crest of the vertical curve.
Simplify another two calculator also work same as above.
