Seachange

Seachange was born out of language learning.

Language learning audio tapes typically state a phrase in the native speakers language, and subsequently have the learner repeat the phrase in the foreign language. This is followed up by the correct phrase in the foreign language. Often the learner wants to hear the phrase repeated. However, jumping back to the proper location in the track can be frustrating!

Typically one ends up jumping around, several times, before reaching the desired location. This process wastes time, and creates frustration making the language learning experience more tedious than it needs to be.

Seachange provides an answer to this problem by letting you see the sound in your audio files. Seachange also provides you with an innovative seeking mechanism that lets you seek to exactly where the sounds you are interested in begin.

Seachange also lets you slow down the playback speed of your audio and provides you the ability to bookmark specific track locations for later.

Although this app was originally intended for language learning we have found many users with applications in dictation, and several other fields.
