Second City

The revolution of industry set many gears in motion, both visible and invisible to the world around it. What was to be a springboard for humanity became a racket pulled under by greed and deception as the machine made to make the world more perfect was turned to destroy it.

Technology wasn't to blame; many of man's greatest inventions were a godsend, even if they ended up in the wrong hands, which they often did. People were to blame. In the end, a bloodthirsty pursuit of money and control ruined it all, for everyone. Truth, love, and courage had found itself in a never-ending war with lies, contempt, and cowardice.

And so it was over the hills and far away where the second city emerged, a place marked not by a void of greed, but of regret. What began as gatherings of people around music and fantasy eventually became something much more. And from the rise of these breakaway groups came this community, and you, sown like seeds of grass in an endless field of unity.
