SeeYou IGC Flight Recorder

This is the iOS version of SeeYou IGC Flight Recorder for Paraglider, Hang-glider and Sailplane pilots.

It records IGC flight files on your iPhone and iPad. Launch the app, choose to start recording the flight and put it in your pocket. After landing the flights are synced to SeeYou Cloud and made available to online contests of your choice.

Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Note: This app drains battery because its purpose is to read GPS all the time. Our experience shows that iPhone 4 is able to record about 10 hours of flight before the battery reaches 20% and the app stops recording (percentage is selectable in the Settings). iPads have much larger batteries and are for this reason very suitable for running the SeeYou Recorder. We have reached over 40 hours of continuous flight recording on an iPad 2 before the battery was completely empty (and it's OK to completely flatten the battery on the iPad since you won't need it for retrieve).
