App Store Description

This app is a simple interactive visualization of data on the First Quorum of the Seventy that I found on the source of all truth: Wikipedia (the data is not perfect but the more recent the data the more accurate it is).

Recently (as of the moment I write this), President Russell M. Nelson became the President of the Church. In a press conference following the announcement he and his 2 counselors were asked a question regarding race and church leadership, more specifically why there weren’t more people of color (or non-American/White) in leadership.

I did some quick research (à la old Ensigns) and found that back in 2001 there were fewer than 10 leaders that fit that description. However, as of November 2017 more than half of the Quorum of the Seventy was of non-US nationality. I thought that progress was fun to see, so here we are.
