Shield: Caller ID & Block Spam

With Shield you can identify and block all direct sales and marketing, spam and scam calls, text messages and spam mails automatically!

Shield is a caller ID application for smartphones, and its anti-spam/scam function identifies and blocks all telemarketing and scam calls, spam text messages and spam emails. This means that scam calls, direct marketing and telemarketing calls won't even come through on your phone anymore! Scam text messages and spam and scam emails containing for example harmful links are automatically removed even before they reach you.

If the caller is known to Shield its Caller ID feature displays who calls i.e. the caller's name in addition to the caller's number already when the phone rings — a perfect way to identify an otherwise unknown caller.

There are new telemarketers and scammers entering the market all the time. Shield offers an excellent blacklisting feature, preventing new troublemakers in their tracks. At the same time Shield informs us about the new spammer or scammer so that we can make sure the caller or message sender is added to our shared block list.

Shield relies on a comprehensive registry of phone numbers and email addresses reported over the years. We have also identified and documented numerous malicious phone numbers, addresses and message sender information ourselves so that we would be able to help you identify the unknown callers and inform you whether it is a telemarketer or a known scammer.

As a user of the service you can easily report new harmful callers yourself as well. The phone number who called and other necessary information will be added to our call block register, which will then be used to block unwanted calls and messages for other all users of the service.

Shield helps you block and prevent:

- unknown and secret numbers

You can also:

- add disturbing callers and SMS senders to the blacklist and block calls from certain numbers, the application also has a reporting function

- block email spam in five mail inboxes

- manage your contacts and, if you wish, whitelist individual numbers to bypass your blocking rules

Using the Premium Search you can find out the contact information of all Finnish companies and individuals. When you receive a call from an unknown number you can check who called and find the number to whom it belongs to. You can also manually search for an unknown caller's number information by their name or company name. The Premium Subscription includes ten such number searches per year. You can purchase more number lookups in the application.
