ShuggaShugga

ShuggaShugga is an app designed to audibly update you with your latest blood glucose data, sourced directly from Health on your iPhone. While it's primarily intended to complement Loop.app and other similar apps, it's also useful for users who have live blood glucose values written to Health by other means, and to a lesser extent, those who manually input their blood glucose values into the Health app.

It now includes a Kiyoshi Button and Kiyoshi iMessage stickers.
(For those of you who are caregivers and supporters of people who manage blood glucose, you can just use Kiyoshi Button and iMessage stickers w/o giving the "read permission" from Health.)

Managing one's blood sugar 24/7 is challenging. This new button offers a moment of relief during a tough day.

Similar to the “Easy Buttons” and Stuart Smally's “Daily Affirmations,” this button plays a chorus of “You got this” when tapped.

Please be aware: If you use a continuous glucose monitor and don't have additional methods for live updates in Health, the data in Health might be hours old due to regression analysis. In such cases, ShuggaShugga may not be suitable since it depends on the freshest data from Health.
Due to its dependence on Apple Health, ShuggaShugga is exclusively compatible with iPhones.

IMPORTANT USAGE CONCEPTS:

ShuggaShugga operates in foreground and in background:

Foreground Mode: When the app is active and in use, you can customize its functionality by tapping the gear icon. It will audibly announce your latest blood glucose levels at your chosen frequency (e.g., every 30 seconds).

Background: This version of ShuggaShugga does not work when the app is in the background or when the phone is locked.

Some main features:

1. Scheduled audible announcement of your current blood sugar value.

2. Optional warning in the event the data is no longer fresh.

3. Optional double tapping the display for the latest announcement.

4. Large blood glucose value display for easy viewing during varieties of activities.
