Sindika

What is it about?

Sindika (which means “Send” or “Push” in many Bantu dialects in Africa) is a money remittances application from AfroPay; Sindika’s mission is to bridge the gap between multi-national transactions and access to Uganda. We offer wallets in USD (GBP and many more to come) that allow any person that wants to send money (in UGX) to anyone in Uganda, so long as they have a nationally registered mobile phone number. We check (KYC) our users who signup using passports then perform secondary checks to verify their identities then sanctions checks. We focus on ease of use, accessibility, building upward mobility, convenience with user safety, customer satisfaction to the very last mile recipient who might not have a smart phone.
