A show-stopping immersive exhibition is launching at library and digital media centre, The Word in South Shields, which will explore the life and work of film producer Sir Ridley Scott.
To enhance the visitor experience, this interactive app has been designed and developed and it will allow visitors to access even more fascinating facts and information about the famous film producer as they move around the exhibition gallery.
The app uses a highly visual interface, including animation, and contains additional information not found on the exhibition walls, such as trivia and movie clips. The app is activated and content is shown on a visitor’s smart phone as they come into range of various Bluetooth beacons located in specific areas of the gallery.
The exhibition focuses on six of Sir Ridley’s most famous films – Blade Runner, Alien, Robin Hood, The Martian, Thelma & Louise and Gladiator. The app will focus on these films, giving extra information on the following topics:
- Synopsis
- Key facts
- The movie in numbers
- Clips including trailers and interviews with Sir Ridley and the cast
- Trivia
- Quotes from Sir Ridley about his films
- Award wins and nominations
- Easter eggs
The free to enter exhibition opens to the public on 22nd October 2016 and will run for six months.
