What is it about?

This App, inspired by David Hockney, is arranged like a museum with an art exhibit of different genres & styles & compositions. A collection of illustrations, drawings & designs including details created from masterpieces & sculptures. Some pictures are from poses from life & portrait art school studio classes with the iPad on an easel like a canvas. The image composition replay allows the artist student to muse over & explore the various media of oil, acrylic, transparent watercolour, charcoal or pencil drawing styles. A colourful mixture of brush types are used along with a variety of landscapes, snapshot cartoon type views of people going about life. iPad digital art-making lends itself to decorative abstract shapes. Some images were made in low light where observations would normally be impossible to render. Future planned updates will include some line drawings with few colours or limited grey-tone values as if by pen, pencil or charcoal achieved using Brushes App extensive tool selection with color palette – but using one’s digit – the finger - digital art by any definition.
