What is it about?

Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a disorder that holds great significance since patients with the disorder are at an increased risk for a broad range of cardiovascular morbidities. American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) developed evidence-based peer-reviewed guidelines for the evaluation and management of OSA in 2009. However, their utilization has been a challenge due to the complexity of the algorithms. To increase access to the guidelines, we created a smartphone application that allows users to interact with the algorithms in a more engaging manner.
