SMW Patch

SMW Patch is a special application for the visually impaired in the form of virtual reality glasses.

SMW Patch improves the quality of life of visually impaired people with such diseases as:
• Age related macular degeneration
• Diabetic retinopathy
• Atrophy of the optic nerve
• Pigmentary retinitis
• Stargardt's disease
• Albinism
• Glaucoma, etc.

The application can be used as corrective glasses - for this you need to insert a smartphone into any mobile virtual reality glasses.
SMW Patch uses mixed reality technology. Image filters are applied to the smartphone camera image: with the help of simple smartphone functions, it can correct the camera image and make it more legible. To use the application, you must additionally purchase any VR glasses.
The application is useful if there is residual vision.

There are 4 correction modes available:
1. Loupe (low vision, central retinal dystrophy) or image reduction (retinitis pigmentosa).
2. Horizontal magnifying glass for easy reading of texts.
3. Color correction for better perception in different situations.
4. Second window for people with central vision loss (central retinal dystrophy).
