Solar Eclipse Planner Pro - Great American Eclipse

Solar Eclipse Planner is designed to assist you in planning for the Great American Solar Eclipse on August 21, 2017. The 2017 eclipse is a once-in-a-lifetime event. Make the most of it!

This app will help you pinpoint the best spot to view the eclipse.

Visually see the path of the eclipse on the map screen with the centerline of totality, along with the north and south limits of totality. For maximum eclipse duration you need to be close to the totality centerline.

On the map you can see your current location along with the ability to drop a pin at any location you choose. On the totality screen you can view eclipse information for those points including:

- Latitude
- Longitude
- Eclipse Duration
- Obscuration of the sun

- Totality Duration Amount

- Eclipse Begin Time
- Sun's Altitude at that time
- Direction of the sun at that time

- Totality Begin Time
- Sun's Altitude at that time
- Direction of the sun at that time

- Time of Maximum Eclipse
- Sun's Altitude at that time
- Direction of the sun at that time

- Totality End Time
- Sun's Altitude at that time
- Direction of the sun at that time

- Eclipse End Time
- Sun's Altitude at that time
- Direction of the sun at that time

Note the app requires an Internet connection to download maps from Apple as well as eclipse data from the U.S. Naval Observatory.
