SolentMet

SolentMet provides easy access to the data from four weather stations in the Solent area (the sea between the Isle of Wight and the UK mainland).

The data display corresponds to that shown on the ‘Chimet’ and associated websites and normally updates every five minutes.

A map displays the current wind direction and strength at the four stations and each can be selected to show all the latest data available from that station. In addition, a layout with tabs allows the selected station to be change by tapping the appropriate tab.

Further details in the form of 12-hour graphs of wind strength and direction, tide, temperatures and pressure, visibility, and wave height can be displayed (where available).
