Sounique Montessori

Sounique Montessori is part of Sounique Child Limited providing Montessori and Natural Thinkers Early Education in a packaway preschool environment. The preschool, based in Streatham London, operates term time only providing full and/or part-time sessions for children aged 2 to 4 years. The setting accepts funded places for eligible children.

Every child is unique, is loved and respected equally. Adults and children are addressed and treated as equals. The Montessori approach includes observing and following children to plan for their next steps, understand their likes, dislikes, preferences and what fires their imagination. Children are not interrupted during play and not hurried. Every day is different, and every day is special.

Following the Montessori approach children are supported to use their senses to explore their environment and be active in hands-on learning. Activities are auto didactic with built in control of error so children can explore activities with self correction whilst learning. The Montessori approach aids independence with emphasise on concentration and self directed play.

Natural thinkers and forest school education provide regular opportunities for children to achieve and develop confidence and self esteem through hands on learning experiences in woodland or natural tree environment. Whilst the philosophy of forest school is independent to the EYFS it massively benefits to support early learning which can be linked to the EYFS. Similar to Montessori forest school let children take the lead in their learning and encourage ideas children to identify and manage their own risk, something they tend to have little choice to do. They have freedom to explore outdoors in all weathers with the correct clothing.

Sounique Montessori offers a warm and welcoming environment that supports children to transition from home to school, providing a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environment to ensure they develop educationally, emotionally, physically and socially. We work in partnership with parents, guardians and the community to deliver the best possible care and development for each child’s learning.

We provide parents with regular progress updates and support. Our interactive PIN Protected App also allows parents and guardians the opportunity to view their child's learning journey. Parents can also be involved with their child's learning and development by uploading photographs, videos, observations and next steps directly from the App.

Our App makes life easier for parents and guardians by allowing effective communication with our setting and quick access to our policies and consent forms. Parents can sign forms using our sophisticated Digital Signature feature.
