Spara Food Store

Spara connects restaurants who have excess food with consumers who are looking for a discounted meal. This app has the chance to match excess food supply with consumer demand, therefore doing three things: reduce food waste; offer food at a discounted price to users; and provide another revenue stream for restaurants.

The restaurant gets to set their own discount rate and duration of sale. For example, if a food is set to expire in the near future, the restaurant is able to list that specific item at a cheaper price until it is gone so that it does not end up in the garbage bin.
