Spectrum Spots
What is it about?
A deceptively simple game involving the movement of randomly colored spots along one or more randomly-generated paths or tracks called Slides. The object is to align the spot(s) with a central target, also of a randomly generated color. Initially, just matching spots to the same-colored target is needed to succeed. Later, multiple spots must be mixed in a valid combination to match the target's color. The mixture of colors reflects both real-world and pure/theoretical color sets for each of the three selectable color models supported: Red-Yellow-Blue (RYB), Red-Green-Blue (RGB) and Cyan-Magenta-Yellow (CMY). Playing Spectrum Spots will indirectly educate you on how the mixing of colors differs among the three color models as you progress through Primary, Secondary, Tertiary, Quaternary and Senary color sets. Additionally, musical notes have been assigned to each color combination based on its relative position on the energy frequency scale, which are heard whenever a match is made. Lots of options are available to add more difficulty: hints suppression, timers, and visual obfuscations.
