The Marche, which have received the Holy House of Loreto -defined by John Paul II "the true Marian heart of Christianity”- , is a land of saints, blessed and popes that have marked the history and culture of this territory and given life to centres of spirituality widespread along its valleys or in secluded places, in the heart of the Apennines, in contact with nature and with God.
Camaldolians, Cistercians and Franciscans studded the territory with monasteries, abbeys and convents, some of which open to guests and visitors today, the way they used to open to pilgrims and wayfarers. Over the time, the cities of art have seen its Cathedrals grow and expand becoming real museum churches, goals of visitors and culture lovers.
