Sportfondsen is met 300 accommodaties de grootste exploitant en dienstverlener binnen de vrijetijds- en sportbranche.
Van kleinschalige sportvoorzieningen tot multifunctionele centra. Honderd daarvan zijn zwembaden. Sportfondsen is daarbij altijd vernieuwend geweest: Nederland maakte dankzij Sportfondsen kennis met het eerste ‘hypermoderne’ golfslagbad, de eerste zonnebanken en whirlpools.
Sportfondsen is tegenwoordig niet alleen exploitatiebeheerder of zwembadeigenaar, maar ook een belangrijke samenwerkingspartner van gemeenten. Zo betrekken gemeenten Sportfondsen vaak al bij de bestemmingsplannen.
