Spotru

Spotru is a free social platform for anyone involved in sports to create their sports profile and allowing you to view, follow, share & connect with your friends, clubs or your Sponsors. You can also track your favourite clubs, teams, or sponsors through Spotru. Spotru is the first social networking site for anyone who has an involvement in Sport to connect with others for free. Spotru believes that Sports has the power to enable significant positive change in society.

The three principal user profiles, Users, Clubs and Businesses (Sponsors) :

Club and Sponsor profiles will be approved only once registration documents have been uploaded and checked by the Spotru admin team. Clubs can verify user profiles.

All profiles can follow, be followed, share and like posts by others, however, no user, club or sponsor can comment on another's post unless they connected.

User Profile

The "User" profile is for individuals involved in sports in any way (fans, amateurs, and professionals) to create their sports profile free of charge similar to the development of a social media profile.

Club Profile

The "Club" profile is free for all sports clubs, sports bodies, social sports clubs, universities, colleges, and related entities. The upgrade features will allow these clubs to manage their online presence without the need for a dedicated stand-alone website.

Sponsor Profile

The "Sponsor" profile is free for any business to create a profile similarly as they would on LinkedIn. Spotru allows companies involved in sports to create their free profile. These entities' involvement could be sponsoring their local team or individuals and, the upgraded features will help these businesses to create a better online presence without the need for spending exorbitant fees on advertising.

Spotru aims to eliminate the need for club websites and to give universities and colleges an online sports presence. Club websites have become more and more inactive over the years due to the significant shift to social media. People, however, are still directed to sites for club or team information and the issue is that there is no direct connection between clubs, users and sponsors on current social media platforms unless a user's, club or sponsor share content.

Club profiles on Spotru allow clubs to create and share events, connect directly with their members and allocate them into either staff, members and teams. Users can view these profiles by having the club icon displayed on the user profile and posts. Sportu allows clubs to create as many sports teams as they want under their profile and allocate user profiles to individual groups.

Sponsors will have their profile icons displayed on their promoters' profile which will link back to their own page if selected by any other user; sponsors can gather their own followers allowing them to promote their brand. Clubs can submit sponsor requests in the sponsor pool. The sponsor profile is a great tool to be directly linked and advertised through their promoters' profiles rather than being a logo on a board that's only seen by people who go to the specific club or by the few who visits the club's website.
