Hello! I’m Simon, the creator of the Stiff Man Yoga app. As a yoga instructor in Paris with 20 years of teaching experience and over 30 years of practice, I designed this app for anyone who thinks they are too stiff and are looking to increase their flexibility. Whether you believe you’re too stiff for a standard yoga class, have always struggled with flexibility, or want to regain it after losing it over the years, this app is for you.

Yoga is a great discipline to achieve these goals, but Stiff Man Yoga, is an adapted form of yoga, with specifically selected postures where you’ll experience progress in flexibility more quickly. Over the years, I've studied with some amazing teachers and selected the best insights from them, as well as from my own practice and teaching. These insights have transformed my flexibility, and I'm excited to share them with you in this app.

While I named the app Stiff Man Yoga because I’ve noticed men tend to be less flexible in my classes, it’s beneficial for everyone. The app combines carefully selected yoga postures with my unique modifications, targeting key areas for lasting improvement. With patience and consistent practice, you can achieve greater flexibility through my program, which has already yielded great results for my students.

The app includes 22 sessions from my Stiff Man Yoga 6-Week Flexibility Challenge, designed to guide you gradually and safely toward realistic flexibility goals—without forcing your body. Forcing flexibility can lead to muscle contraction, creating the opposite effect.

In the app, I’ll introduce you to five Universal Principles of Alignment that will transform your approach to yoga. These principles will help you understand the alignment needed in your postures as well as helping you feel more comfortable in your body, on an everyday basis. Enhanced flexibility can alleviate back problems and foster a sense of relaxation, youthfulness, and happiness, while deepening your self-awareness.
