App Store Description

Stinger Mini was created by BSI to give the iPad user a portable version of the venerable Stinger application which has been available on the PC for over a decade.

Stinger Mini is an iPad based instant audio clip play and record application supporting playback of .wav and .mp3 format audio files, and recording to .wav format audio files. Stinger was designed for radio broadcasters to play jingles, sound effects, short spots, and more. With its easy and intuitive user interface, you can have unencumbered on-air/live audio clips at your fingertips. Though Stinger was originally designed for the radio broadcast industry, it is extremely useful in TV broadcasting, theater productions, sports venues, and even live audio sample playback for musicians and DJs. Now that Stinger is available as Stinger Mini on the iPad, users can take Stinger out in the field for broadcast remotes and live performances without having to lug a PC around with them.

Stinger Mini's button sets, event logs, and audio files are all compatible with existing button sets created with Stinger 3.0 and later on the PC. Conversely, button sets created with Stinger Mini are compatible with Stinger 3.1 and later on the PC. Simply open Stinger Mini's listing in the File Sharing section of the Apps tab for your device in iTunes, and all files can be accessed and copied/exchanged between Stinger Mini on the iPad and Stinger on the PC.
